I'm sure over the last month most, if not all of you have heard at least once about Kim Davis. I live in the small town of Morehead, Kentucky, where Kim Davis works. I'm a Christian, and I stand on both sides of this issue. I do believe that homosexuality is wrong, but Kim works for the public, and if this is what the public wants, it's what it gets. But...

1. There's the whole issue of whether gay marriage is actually legal in Kentucky at all. As far as I see it, Kim didn't start this shindig because she hated homosexuals, she didn't start this because she wanted national media attention. Kim just asked a simple question, "Is this legal?" As far as I know, the Kentucky state constitution has not been changed from saying that a marriage is between one woman and one man. Also, since when is the Supreme Court allowed to make laws? Pretty sure it has to go through Congress first before it was made a law. Just saying. But if it is, indeed, a law, Paul says in Romans 13:1 "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God."

2. To all the random people who are showing up in our small town for your fifteen minutes of fame, or just to argue, please leave. I know, I, as a person who passes the courthouse everyday to go to school, am tired of this. Neither side of this issue will win, you'll all stand yelling at each other and making a big scene for no reason. Because it's definitely not helping the situation in the least. And I'm sorry, but there are some people on the Christian side who are not acting very Christian like. This could be a time that God's trying to get some people to come to Christ, and the way these people are acting, could turn the other side away forever. But, please, people who aren't even from Morehead, could you not? We just want our nice peaceful town back. And somehow, I figure, it's not going to happen any time soon.

3. As this was all going down (and it's still happening, sadly), I was a little confused on the stance I should take on this situation. As you can probably tell from this post, I'm still a bit confused. But I prayed, asking God to help me understand where I should stand on this issue. One night, as I was reading through my study of Daniel with shereadstruth.com (great devotion website by the way ☺️), this paragraph in a devotion by Raechal Myers caught my eye. I believe this was God's answer to my prayer, "As believers who suffer or endure persecution, we can rise up and go about the King's business just as Daniel did (in Daniel 8). Even when we don't understand. Even when we are overwhelmed. Because the greatest evils in the world will come face to face with the Prince of princes and 'will be shattered—not by human hands' (Daniel 8:25)."

Basically, the bottom line is this: we all believe different things, every one of us. And sometimes it's hard to agree. But could we all at least be civil to one another? God says to "love your neighbor as yourself". Can we try to love? Even if we're just tired of it all, we need to love these people until they decide they're done dealing with little Morehead, Kentucky. Even if we hope that's soon. Because we can make a difference in their lives.

So it's been a while since I've done anything with this website. Like two years a while... Oops. I started this website as a project and school and fell in love at the time. Then life happened. But I'm super excited to say that I'm back, and I want to make this site better than ever. There will be some revisions in the next few weeks hopefully. I want to start writing more blog posts about things that relate to almost everyone, not just about the stuff in my closet. Though I do love the stuff in my closet. Lol. I've been working recently on redecorating my "apartment" in the upstairs of my mom's house.... Hey! It's better than paying for a dorm when I only live ten minutes away. Anyway, I am turning one of the bedrooms into a walk-in closet. I'm so excited to do a blog post on that when it's finished!

I start classes tomorrow so I will try to do a blog post tomorrow. I need to learn a lot more about this, and I loved to do this for a long period of time. And not just do it as an average blog, but an extraordinary one! Because ladies, we can do anything we set our minds too. Especially multitasking. ;)

I know an OOTD is supposed to be everyday...why it's called outfit of the day... But I've had so much going on lately and I seem to forget. My mamaw's been in the hospital in a city an hour and a half away from home for almost a month now so I've been going to see her and I forget!! Sorry!! But I'm going to try to get better at this...

I've totally just become obsessed with big sweaters. They make me so happy! You can be warm and fashionable at the same time. And that makes me extremely happy. Where I live it can be really cold and most days like that I just want to put on a sweatshirt and jeans and call it a day. But big sweaters! There just like sweatshirts except I can totally make sweaters more dressy! And I love dressing up!

I never thought I do this but...here I go!! I'm not a writer, never have been, never will be, but I love looking at other people's blogs and thought I'd give it a shot! These blog posts will probably be really random and sometimes my place to vent. But I hope you like them!!
